• An active ingredient of Tamodex is Tamoxifen which is an antagonist of the estrogen receptor in breast tissue. It has been the standard endocrine (anti-estrogen) therapy for hormone-positive early breast cancer, although aromatase inhibitors have been proposed for postmenopausal women.
• Some breast cancer cells require estrogen to grow. Estrogen binds to and activates the estrogen receptor in these cells. Tamoxifen is metabolized into compounds that also bind to the estrogen receptor but do not activate it. Furthermore tamoxifen prevents estrogen from binding to its receptor. Hence breast cancer cell growth is blocked.

Modalert 200 Tablet may also be used to treat obstructive sleep apnea and shift work sleep disorder. Additionally, it has cognitive-enhancing properties and can aid in increased focus, alertness, and productivity.

Modalert 200 Tablet may be taken with or without food. It is advised to take this medicine at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level in the blood. If you miss any doses, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly as it may worsen your symptoms.

Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, nausea, nervousness, anxiety, and insomnia (difficulty sleeping). You may also have diarrhea, indigestion, back pain, and a runny nose. However, these side effects are temporary and usually resolve on their own in some time. Serious side effects are rare but may include skin rashes, severe mood changes, and signs of an allergic reaction. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of these side effects.

Always remember that this medicine is only used when advised by a doctor, as it is not a replacement for a good sleep routine. You should try to get the right amount of sleep every night. Before taking Modalert 200 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your kidneys, heart, liver, or have a history of seizures (epilepsy or fits). Speak with your doctor immediately if you experience breathlessness, chest pain, rapid heart rate, fever, cough, or wheezing. Your healthcare provider will conduct blood tests before and every month during the treatment, as this medicine could reduce the counts of RBC, WBC, and platelets.
